Classes

We focus on the Traditional Olympic Style of Taekwondo. Olympic style taekwondo, also known as sport taekwondo, is a competitive form of the traditional Korean martial art of taekwondo. It is characterized by its focus on fast and powerful kicking techniques, as well as its use of a point-scoring system.

  • Do I need to have previous knowledge in martial arts?
    No. You do not need any experience to learn Taekwondo. "You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great" - Zig Z
  • At what age can my child start classes?
    5 years old and up
  • Am I too old to start Taekwondo?
    We have students of all ages at Impact. No one is ever too old to start.
  • How long is the class?
    50 Minutes
  • How many classes can I attend per week?
    Students are able to take up to 3 classes a week. A minimum of 2 classes a week is recommended to stay on track for belt promotions.
  • Are weekend classes available?
    At this time we do not hold classes on the weekend, but we do offer Private lessons available on weekdays & weekends.
  • How long does it take to become a Black belt at Impact TKD?
    Students will take approximately 4 years (or 10 belts) to earn their 1st Degree Black Belt.
